Dr. Steven Cocke is an Adjunct Professor for the Online Engineering Programs at George Washington University and serves as Chief Technology Officer and Lead Data Scientist at Walker Engineering Solutions. With over a decade of experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning, Dr. Cocke has a strong track record of delivering impactful solutions across healthcare, geospatial analysis, and mission-focused defense applications.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Cocke held positions at Informatica, Honeywell, and General Dynamics Information Technology, where he built expertise in data engineering, large-scale system integration, high performance computing environments, and advanced analytics. His work spans convolutional and transformer-based architectures, vision foundation models, parameter-efficient training methods, and deployment in resource-constrained environments. His doctoral research focused on developing lightweight, deployable breast cancer segmentation models using vision foundation models and knowledge distillation.

He holds a Doctor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from George Washington University, a Master of Science in Data Science from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from University of Virginia.
