Dr. Kevin Abreu-Castellanos is an adjunct professor for the Online Engineering Programs at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Abreu has been a test engineer for nearly a decade supporting the defense industry for the United States, with a specialty in RF, advanced electronics and data sciences. Dr. Abreu leads a group of various test engineers to support manufacturing requirements. Together, they pursue continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing costs, maximizing profits, and meeting technical requirements and contractual deadlines. Research interests include power engineering, power electronics, renewables, the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence in modern data analysis and statistics to support data-driven decisions and system optimization.

Dr. Abreu has a Doctorate of Engineering in Engineering Management from GW. He also holds a Professional Science Master's in Electrical Power Engineering from Washington State University (WSU) as well as a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
