Dr. Antone B. Eliasen is a Lecturer and Doctoral Advisor in Engineering Management and Systems Engineering at the George Washington University. He earned his Doctor of Engineering Management from GWU, a Master of Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Auburn University.
Dr. Eliasen brings more than two decades of experience in complex engineering systems across defense, energy, and advanced sensing. He served 22 years in the U.S. Military, where he operated and managed nuclear propulsion systems aboard submarines and led training and operational programs supporting mission-critical environments.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Eliasen supports advanced research and development efforts in undersea warfare and multi-domain sensing. His work focuses on integrating emerging technologies—including distributed sensing, autonomous systems, and data-driven decision tools—into operational environments. At GWU, he teaches graduate courses in systems engineering and engineering management and advises doctoral students, emphasizing the application of systems thinking to real-world technical challenges.
