Dr. Rory Bogan is a Graduate Research Advisor at the George Washington University, serving the Online Engineering Programs in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Dr. Bogan currently works as a Senior Technical Data Engineer supporting the Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. He has applied his analytical skills to issues involving missile defense, cybersecurity, simulation, logistics, and supply chain risk management.

His broader professional background spans artificial intelligence, modeling and simulation, cybersecurity architecture, and systems engineering for defense applications. He has contributed to the development of AI/ML solutions, secure system designs, and advanced simulation environments that support mission-critical decision-making. Dr. Bogan’s industry roles have included AI engineering, DevSecOps, cyber test analysis and planning, and simulation systems development, with work supporting semi-autonomous systems, digital engineering initiatives, and enterprise data platforms.

He holds a Doctor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the George Washington University, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Interactive Simulation and Training from the University of Central Florida, and a B.S. in Soil and Crop Sciences with an Applied IT concentration and a Spatial Information Management Systems minor from Colorado State University. Dr. Bogan has also achieved various professional certifications, including ISC2 CISSP and CompTIA Security+.
