Dr. Myron Boyd is an Adjunct Professor for the Online Engineering Programs at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has professional experience in the energy and sustainability sectors, having worked for several years in facilities engineering and architectural consulting, supporting private companies and utilities with system designs and improved energy use. More recently, Dr. Boyd became a full-time professor of engineering at Webb Institute teaching fundamental classes in energy engineering, applied systems design, economics, and advises student research. His research interests as a professor include transportation system modeling and analysis, marine energy, and maritime lifecycle analysis. He is also Webb Institute's sustainability coordinator for academics and facilities.

Dr. Boyd received a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering at The George Washington University, holds a Master of Engineering in Energy Systems Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and a dual Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Webb Institute in Glen Cove, New York.
