Mikayla Scott

Dr. Mikayla Scott is an Adjunct Professor in the AI/ML program at George Washington University’s College of Engineering and a Senior Data Scientist specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. Her work focuses on developing and deploying scalable, production grade AI solutions across complex, real world environments, with experience spanning finance, defense, cybersecurity, and aerospace domains.

Dr. Scott currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist at Boeing, where she leads the integration of advanced machine learning capabilities into fabrication and manufacturing quality systems for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Her work supports the advancement of intelligent quality systems, driving improvements in efficiency, reliability, and data driven decision making across fabrication and manufacturing.

Dr. Scott holds a Doctor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from George Washington University, a Master of Science in Data Science with a concentration in Natural Language Processing from Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Wayne State University’s College of Engineering.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Scott is committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers and fostering innovation through collaboration and hands on learning. She mentors students as part of FIRST Robotics Team #1596 at Sault Area High School and is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
