Jun Xiao is an Adjunct Faculty member in Cybersecurity Engineering at the George Washington University Online Engineering Programs, where he teaches graduate-level courses in cloud security, IoT security, machine learning, cryptography, and privacy principles. He holds a Doctor of Engineering in Cybersecurity Analytics from George Washing University, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

With over 25 years of experience spanning enterprise security, cloud infrastructure, financial services, and regulatory compliance, Dr. Xiao brings extensive real-world expertise to the classroom. He has led cross-functional security governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance programs aligned to NIST, GDPR, and ISO frameworks across global financial and technology organizations.

His research focuses on blockchain-enabled machine learning intrusion detection systems for IoT environments.
