Dr. Jonathan Ng is a Professorial Lecturer at The George Washington University. He holds a Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) in Cybersecurity Analytics, graduate degrees from the National University of Singapore and the University of California, Los Angeles, graduate study at Stanford University, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Coventry University, UK. He brings over 20 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, digital forensics and incident response, information governance, data analytics and visualization, and applied AI/ML.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ng has served in leadership and advisory roles across various industries, helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture, protect sensitive information, and investigate numerous complex matters involving cyber incidents, IP theft and data loss, fraud and misconduct, and compliance and regulatory matters. His work also includes building advanced forensic and analytics capabilities, developing strategic cyber and information governance initiatives, and deploying data-driven approaches to manage cybersecurity and improve organizational resilience. In addition, he has served as an expert witness and has spoken on panels and conferences on topics related to cybersecurity, digital forensics, and cyber risk.

Dr. Ng’s research interests include applied AI/ML for cybersecurity, insider threat detection, digital forensics and incident response, data protection, LLMs and RAGs. He is particularly interested in bridging academic research with practical industry applications and is passionate in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity and AI/ML leaders through teaching, mentorship, and real-world perspective.
