Dr. Jim Lola is a cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and advanced computing leader with extensive experience across enterprise security, privacy, risk governance, high-performance computing, distributed systems, and data analytics. He currently serves as Chief Information Security Officer at Nexa Mobility, where he leads cybersecurity, privacy, and enterprise risk governance across a complex multi-entity environment. He previously served as Head of Information Technology and CISO at Sonim Technologies, where he led global IT and cybersecurity operations, security modernization aligned with NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks, ISO 27001 certification efforts, M&A readiness, regulatory compliance, and board-level cyber risk reporting.

Dr. Lola holds a Doctor of Engineering in Cybersecurity Analytics from George Washington University, a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He has held senior technical and leadership roles at I2 Sentinel Associates, Privateer Systems LLC, Lockheed Martin, Genentech, Digital Equipment Corporation, and Litton Industries. He also serves as an Academic Doctoral Advisor at George Washington University, mentoring Doctor of Engineering candidates in cybersecurity analytics and artificial intelligence. His research interests include causal AI for cyber fraud detection, secure analytics pipelines, AI security, cloud and distributed computing, high-performance computing, and governance frameworks for trustworthy data-driven systems.
