Dr. Jeffrey C. Yu is an adjunct professor in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at The George Washington University. Dr. Yu has worked in the high-technology and aerospace & defense industries for over thirty years, based primarily in Silicon Valley and the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. He specializes in developing and leading advanced technology-enabled product and business strategies, system architectures, engineering teams, research & development investment portfolios, and innovation and partnering programs. He has served in chief technology officer (CTO) and engineering leadership positions for large-scale national security and federal and state IT businesses. His areas of expertise include AI/ML, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, digital transformation, cloud computing, signal processing, networking, microelectronics, advanced field-deployable systems, intellectual property strategies, and technology partnering programs. Before joining the George Washington faculty, he was the Corporate Director of Technology for Northrop Grumman (NG) Corporation's Chief Technology Office (CTO) and then Director of Strategy for NG's Chief Information Office (CIO).
Dr. Yu is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and serves as a reviewer and technical program committee member for conferences in machine learning and technology and engineering management. He has a BSE in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, an MS and Engineer degrees from Stanford University, and a D.Eng. in cybersecurity analytics from The George Washington University.
