Dr. Brook Alemayehu is an Adjunct Professor and a Doctoral Research Advisor for the Online Engineering Programs at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Alemayehu has over 15 years of progressive experience across Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, and Security Operations.
As a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant, Dr. Alemayehu leads a team of security analysts, develops tailored cybersecurity frameworks for clients, and advises organizations on strengthening their overall security posture. Dr. Alemayehu is also the founder of Keenut, an Orlando-based startup providing Managed Security Services (MSSP) and AI/ML-assisted data recovery solutions.
Dr. Alemayehu’s research interests focus on anomaly detection using AI/ML in Cyber Forensics, with a specialization in IoT devices; an area of growing critical importance as connected devices continue to expand the modern threat landscape.
Dr. Alemayehu holds a Doctor of Engineering in Cybersecurity Analytics from The George Washington University, a Master of Science in Digital Forensics from the University of Central Florida, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Systems from the University of Washington.
