Dr. Bilal Al-Salaymeh is an adjunct professor for the Online Engineering Programs at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He earned his Doctor of Engineering in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from West Texas A&M University.
Alongside his academic work, Dr. Al-Salaymeh brings more than 15 years of experience in aerospace and industrial manufacturing, with the majority of his career spent at Raytheon Technologies (Collins Aerospace). In this capacity, he has led a wide range of efforts across design, manufacturing, and process optimization for high-reliability systems, with a focus on improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting manufacturability across complex programs.
His background includes mechanical design, system integration, and failure analysis, as well as hands-on work in tooling development, production line optimization, and new product introduction.
Dr. Al-Salaymeh began his career at Bell Helicopter (Textron), where he developed experience in production engineering, process control, and supplier coordination. He later progressed through several engineering roles within Raytheon Technologies (Collins Aerospace), taking on broader technical scope and leadership responsibilities over time.
His interests include manufacturing optimization, lean systems, and improving performance in high-reliability production environments within the aerospace industry.
