Dr. Andrew C. Lee brings over 26 years of leadership experience spanning the U.S. military, defense contracting, and Microsoft. His expertise spans Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Program Management, where he drives AI-enabled innovation, secure IT modernization, and large-scale federal transformation initiatives. He has supported strategic, national-level analysis and decision-making for executive defense and government leadership and has led enterprise IT and cloud transformation programs that deliver mission-critical outcomes across complex and high-stakes environments.
Dr. Lee currently works at Microsoft, where he focuses on aligning technology strategy with mission objectives, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering critical solutions in dynamic environments. He leads integrated, multi-solution cloud and AI initiatives across Data, Artificial Intelligence, Infrastructure, Application Innovation, and Modern Work in support of U.S. Federal agencies. In this role, he oversees high-impact programs including enterprise cloud migrations, AI/ML implementations, and large-scale modernization efforts that transform legacy environments, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making.
Dr. Lee is also an adjunct professor at George Washington University, where he advises doctoral students in artificial intelligence and machine learning as they prepare for their doctoral defense and has taught graduate-level cybersecurity courses. He holds two doctoral degrees from George Washington University—one in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and another in Engineering Management—along with a Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity Policy and Compliance. He also holds an Executive Master of Public Management from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is a highly decorated U.S. Army Infantry and Military Intelligence officer with multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He holds multiple professional certifications, including PMP, ITIL, and Microsoft Azure certifications, among others.
