Enrique Campos Náñez is professional lecturer at the George Washington University. He is currently a principal algorithm engineer for Dexcom, Inc. a leading company in the medical device and medical sensing company. He holds a B.Sc. in mathematics from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), a M.Sc. in Operations Research from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. He has more than 30 years of experience in diverse engineering fields, with published research in leading journals in the fields of optimization, computer networks, systems engineering, and bioengineering. His research interests include sequential decision-making, stochastic control, simulation-based optimization, mathematical optimization, and their applications to problems of control and regulation in type 1 and type 2 diabetes. He is co-developer of the first fully automated insulin-delivery system currently in clinical trials.
