Daniel Veit, Ph.D.
Dr. Daniel Veit is an adjunct professor for the Online Engineering Programs at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Veit has over 20 years of experience in the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security, focusing on naval acquisition, system-of-system warfighter capabilities, and secure IT infrastructure. Currently for the US Navy, Dr. Veit serves as a Deputy Chief Information Officer (CIO), providing leadership, strategic direction, and career development for teams of engineers to provide modernized, innovative, and resilient IT infrastructure to support the warfighter.
Dr. Veit holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, an M.S. in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech.
