Jonathan Bierce, D.Eng.
Dr. Bierce is the Chief Analyst for the Sea Control Mission Area of the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. He has nearly 30 years of experience in Undersea Warfare, primarily within the research and development community but also as an operator. Dr. Bierce has led studies in undersea warfare operations, strategic deterrence, anti-submarine warfare, and maritime physical security that span strategic, tactical, and technological issues.
Dr. Bierce holds a BS in Physics from MIT and an MS in Applied Physics from the Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, he obtained an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University and a DEng in Engineering Management from the George Washington University.
