Michael Jones, Ph.D.
Dr. Jones is a systems engineer and program manager at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and an adjunct professor for the Online Engineering Programs at the George Washington University in Washington, DC. He is a retired submarine officer with more than 30 years of experience in all phases of the systems engineering process. Dr. Jones served as the Science and Technology (S&T) Advisor to the Commander of Indo-Pacific Command. In this role, he collaborated with government, academic, and industry partners worldwide to facilitate the rapid development, demonstration, and fielding of various advanced systems.
Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, an M.B.A. and an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the U.S. Naval Academy.
