Dr. John Morton is an adjunct professor for the School of Engineering and Applied Science at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Morton has over 25 years of experience as a leader in the information technology field, encompassing digital transformation/modernization cybersecurity, solution architecture,  systems integration, IT service delivery and technical program management.

He currently serves as the Vice President of Enterprise Infrastructure at Leidos. Prior, he was an enterprise solution architect supporting programs and growth opportunities.  Chief Engineer/Architect delivering Enterprise wide IT services and solutions for government customers.. Earlier in his career, Dr. Morton was a systems integrator and program director delivering infrastructure and platform services to HHS/CMS and other government customers.

Dr. Morton earned a Doctor of Engineering in Cybersecurity Analytics from George Washington University; master’s degree in information and Telecommunication Systems from Johns Hopkins University.  A bachelor’s degree in Airway Computer Science from Hampton University. He holds multiple industry certifications. These include Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITILv4) and Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
