James Newsom, D.Eng.
Dr. James Newsom is an Adjunct Professor in the GW Engineering Program at The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He has over 30 years of industry experience in IT systems engineering ranging from small computing systems, retail online systems and large financial systems handling over $5 Trillion per day. Dr. Newsom specializes in computer system performance and performance engineering analysis with modeling system performance with applications with queuing theory and discrete event simulation.
Dr. Newsom holds a Doctor of Engineering in Engineering Management from The George Washington University. He also earned a Master of Science in Data Analysis from Western Governor's University and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas.
