Steven Biemer, D.Eng.
Dr. Biemer serves as a systems engineer for the Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor for the Online Engineering Programs at George Washington University. He has over 35 years of experience with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security defining and conducting engineering assessments of systems, platforms, and systems-of-systems architectures and networks. He has worked within multiple domain areas, including the intelligence community, cybersecurity, acquisition, and military healthcare. Additionally, he is an adjunct instructor for Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland.
Dr. Biemer holds a D.Eng. in Engineering Management from George Washington University and two M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Technical Management. He is a member of INCOSE and a co-author of Systems Engineering: Principles and Practice, 3rd edition (Wiley, 2020).
